Unrestricted Free Agent Jason Allison has yet to find a home for the 2006-2007 season but his wait may soon be over.

HockeyBuzz: Chicago eyeing trade with Tampa

According to HockeyBuzz, the Chicago Blackhawks may be interested in acquiring left-wing Ruslan Fedotenko and centre Vaclav Prospal. The Lightning, however will not be making any kind of a deal unless they are getting something they can use now in return. Eklund reports the club is in the look-out for a defenseman. The Lightning need more help on the blueline than up-front but the club could still use help in almost every spot on the team.

Lightning nearing trade

According to several sources, the Tampa Bay Lightning are close to a deal with an undisclosed team. With recently waived players, Afanasenkov and Karlsson, and the fact that the team has been pondering moves for over the past 2 months or so, it is no surprise the Bolts may be nearing a deal at last.
