Unrestricted Free Agent Jason Allison has yet to find a home for the 2006-2007 season but his wait may soon be over.
HockeyBuzz: Chicago eyeing trade with Tampa
December 30, 2006According to HockeyBuzz, the Chicago Blackhawks may be interested in acquiring left-wing Ruslan Fedotenko and centre Vaclav Prospal. The Lightning, however will not be making any kind of a deal unless they are getting something they can use now in return. Eklund reports the club is in the look-out for a defenseman. The Lightning need more help on the blueline than up-front but the club could still use help in almost every spot on the team.
Lukowich on the move?
December 30, 2006Before the grand opening of our official website, I will update this site as much as possible and hope to start the year off fresh. The New Jersey Devils would like to activate defenceman Richard Matvichuk from the injured reserve, however in order to do so the Devils will need to make more room under the salary cap.
Nedved to Rangers?
December 19, 2006According to spectorshockey.net, a deal may be in the works between the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Rangers. The Flyers would apparently be sending forward Petr Nedved to the Rangers as part of a multi-team deal.

Around The Boards
November 30, 2006Around the Boards returns after a one week hiatus while I tried to get some schoolwork done. Finals are starting next week, so its that time of year when my brain is fried. On the docket tonight is the firing of Trent Yawney, a possible new home for Markus Naslund and the voting situation for the all-star game.
Report: Coyotes closing in on deal
November 21, 2006First off, I’d like to appologise for the lack of updates by myself. I would also like to thank those that help keep this site updated on a daily basis. Moving on now, according to a souce to the Phoenix Coyotes are close to making a trade for an undisclosed goaltender. Coach Wayne Gretzky has already stated that he would love to make a deal, and their team is beginning to lose faith in those goalies already on their team. Possible candidates include one of either Nabokov or Toskala. Expect the deal to go through later this week.
NHL Roundup: Hitchcock wearing a Blue Jacket?
November 16, 2006Not much of a busy day in the National Hockey League world today but, as always, there’s something to report. Rumors continue to circulate around the league, which pretty much adds fuel to every day reports. New rumors, and of course the odd old one or two continue to pop up every now and then. As they always say, “There’s no stopping Internet Rumors”
Here’s the latest roundup of all things hockey. Will former Flyers coach Ken Hitchcock be wearing the “Blue Jacket” soon, or will Pat Quinn finally get a job this season? Is Forsberg on the move out of the city of brotherly love? And are the Bruins closing in on a big deal?

Huge deal in works?
November 10, 2006According to sources, including Eklund, a huge trade is in the works between Tampa Bay and a “Western Canadian team”. From what I have gathered, the team is either the Edmonton Oilers or Calgary Flames, but I will lean towards the Oilers at the moment. Stay Tuned….
Flyers trades fell through
November 10, 2006It looks like the Flyers are finding misfortune off the ice as much as they are on the ice.
Boston did not like the looks of the doctor’s report on Niittymaki’s hip, so they pulled out of the deal. What was the deal?
– Kapanen and Niittymaki for Sturm and Stuart
That deal would have been a great move by the Flyers.
But that isn’t the only downfall. If that deal were to be done, then the Flyers would have pulled off two more deals.
– Calder and something else to the Kings for Visnovsky.
– a package including Umberger going to San Jose for one of the Sharks goalies.
Needless to say, I think those would have been deals that would definitely help the Flyers.
If anything else comes out, I’ll be on it.
