LeClair clears waivers

Pittsburgh Penguins forward John LeClair has cleared waivers today, according to TSN. Many teams are interested in seeing if LeClair will be brought back up through re-entry waivers, this way they would only have to pay half of his salary, while the Pens would be responsible for the other half. Philadelphia is one team that will try to acquire the veteran if this were to happen.

Staal To Stay

The Pittsburgh Penguins have officially told Jordan Staal he will be staying in the National Hockey League this season.  Staal is off to a great start with 4 goals, 3 of which are shorthanded and an assist.  Also, Kristopher Letang was told he would be returning to Val’Dor of the QMJHL.

Crosby, Malkin and Staal! Oh My!

Last night the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the New Jersey Devils by a score of 4-2.  Impressive.  The chemistry between newly united line-mates Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby; Unbelievable!  The two way play of the 2nd Overall pick in the 2006 draft, Jordan Staal; Convincing.
