Isles’ Martinek to miss four weeks

New York Islander defenseman Radek Martinek will miss the next four weeks with a broken bone in his foot, the team announced Saturday.

Martinek suffered the injury in Tuesday nights game against the Rangers. However Martinek finished that game and played the following game on Thursday in a loss to Ottawa.

Hey guys.  Brandon is back and ready to talk Sabres. Sorry for the late blog. I had to get accustomed to the new site just like everyone else.

 The Sabres head to the Island tonight in search of tying Toronto’s record for most consecutive wins to start a season, as they face the Islanders tonight. Will be an interesting site to see as Ted Nolan faces his former team for the first time. Im sure him and Miro and Z (Satan and Zhitnik) would be glad to end the Sabres streak…

Boguniecki dealt to Islanders

The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today that they have dealt forward Eric Boguniecki to the New York Islanders, in exchange for defenceman Ryan Caldwell.
